In August 2024, DIC Asia Pacific subsidiaries: PT DIC Graphics Indonesia and DIC Ideal Chemic Plast, achieved two significant milestones, reflecting their dedication to achieving DIC’s 2030 Vision – utilizing the core value in pursuing excellence.
1 PT DIC Graphics Hosts QCC Convention Session 1 Y-2024: Showcasing Continuous Improvement in Printing Ink and Pigment
On August 13-14, 2024, PT DIC Graphics successfully held its QCC Convention Session 1 Y-2024 for the Printing Ink and Pigment divisions. The event was conducted online across three plants: Jakarta (JKT), Surabaya (SBY), and Karawang (KRW), with 15 participants from various departments presenting their improvement projects. The themes for the projects revolved around 5S principles and the elimination of the 8 Wastes, focusing on efficiency, waste reduction, and enhanced productivity.
Nine judges evaluated the presentations, assessing the content, participants’ mastery of the material, their handling of Q&A sessions, and overall activeness in implementing QCC improvement stages. This multi-faceted approach ensured a thorough assessment of both the technical content and presentation skills.

After thorough evaluations by the judges, the top three teams were awarded for their outstanding contributions:
- First Place: SBNY QC Team – “Digitalization Calibration Management System”
- Second Place: KRW Fast Moving Team – “Reducing SLOB Pigment”
- Third Place: SBY Technical Team – “Accelerating Product Color Matching”
All winners received Certificates of Appreciation, cash prizes, and the top two teams were awarded a special Plant Tour to visit the JKT, KRW, and SBY factories. These winners were also named QCC Ambassadors for 2024, tasked with sharing their knowledge and helping to implement these improvement initiatives at other plants.
2 DIC Ideal Chemi Plast Pvt. Ltd. Achieves ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 Certifications
DIC Ideal Chemi Plast, proudly announced its achievement of three prestigious ISO certifications from TUV Nord. After a rigorous two-stage audit, the company was officially awarded by TUV Nord (with Dakks Accreditation) the following certifications:
- ISO 9001 (Quality Management System)
- ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System)
- ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System)
