Siam Chemical Industry has joined the Carbon Neutrality Project!


Siam Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. (SCI) has joined the project to study measures to supervise and promote industrial businesses in order to increase energy efficiency under safety and environmental friendliness with the goal to achieve Carbon Neutrality. The project is under the support of the Department of Industrial Works – where operations kickstarted from May to Dec 2023.

Participating in this project allows SCI to be promoted in efficient energy management and tangible savings from using boilers according to the BCG model or economic model for sustainable development. It is a new economic theory that integrates three development areas: bio economy, circular economy, and green economy.

Message from Mr. Yoshihiro Takizawa, President of Siam Chemical Industry:  

We have placed importance on promoting energy conservation activities through efficient energy management with the goal of achieving Carbon Neutrality. Being a pilot factory in this project is a favorable opportunity to improve the company’s energy efficiency. The improvement measures obtained from this project will encourage us to reduce CO2 emissions in the future. 

I would like to thank all divisions/sub-divisions and the Department of Industrial Works who launched this project that benefits the industrial sector; Enabling business operations while also protecting the environment in a sustainable way. 

On February 13, 2024, Mr. Chonlatid Na Phatthalung, Director and Factory Manager, represented SCI at an event where it received Carbon Neutrality Certificate, along with other 44 companies that have successfully been pilot factories.

What to Expect in the Future 

SCI is committed to promoting and expanding educational outcomes to increase the efficiency of energy utilization within the organization, such as considering changing fuels/processes/technology according to the principles of BCG model. The aim is to ensure DIC’s operations remain mindful of societal, economic, and environmental implications while sustaining business activities.
